Businessman Raj Kundra who has been accused of handling of pornographic racket walk out of Arthur Road Jail on Tuesday as we was granted bail with some conditions. His bail plea was heard in the Metropolitan Court where judge accepted his bail application whereas Mumbai police has opposed the bail plea .
Upon hearing the fresh bail plea presented by lawyer Prashant Patil in case relating to Raj kundra husband of famous actress shilpa shetty regarding his involvement in the pornographic mobile applications Hotshot and Bollyfame , The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate SB Bhajipale granted bail to Raj Kundra . who reportedly walked out the Arthur Road jail sometime near noon. He was granted bail on the surety of rupees 50000.
Businessman Raj Kundra was booked under the various sections of Indian Penal Code , Indecent representation of women (prohibition) Act , and Indian Technology Act by Mumbai Police when he was accused of making pornographic content for mobile application. He was arrested on 19 July and was granted judicial custody after which he was sent to Arthur road jail.
In his bail plea Raj Kundra has stated that he was made a scapegoat in this case as police has not been able to show any conclusive evidence about his direct involvement with mobile applications Hotshot and Bollyfame where the pornographic content was uploaded. His bail plea also stated that since all others accused have been granted bail so there is no reason to contain him any longer . Co accused Ryan Thorpe was also granted bail alongside Raj Kundra.
